Well it is offi­cial now i am the first com­miter from India for Adem­piere.For those who don’t know what Adem­piere Busi­ness Suite is its an indus­trial strength open-source soft­ware solu­tion that com­bines ERP, CRM and SCM sup­port for busi­ness processes. Well we all face it con­vert­ing .html for­mat to .txt for­mat , was con­vert­ing two files to txt for­mat html2txt was of not  much help, did not want to go the vim way ‚perl or python was overkill  lynx came handy

lynx -dump index.html >index.txt

Resisted the upgrade for long since i got reports of net­work and sound cards not work­ing prop­erly  with Jaunty , i took the alter­na­tive cd route to upgrade. As expected my sound card stopped work­ing  added this line to make it work

/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

options snd-hda-intel model=hp-m4 enable_msi=1

other things looks ok so far .
